Romans built public infrastructure to cope with the sudden influx of survivors from Pompeii

Dr Steven Tuck, from Miami University, has found in his study, to be published in Analecta Romana, that some of the 15,000 to 18,000 Pompeii refugees settled nearby in Naples and Cumae.
