Britain's first new class of insects in a century: Silk producing 'webspinners’ 'thriving'

A thriving colony of webspinners has been found at RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey, on the roots of their orchids by entomologist Dr Andy Salisbury. They don't pose a threat to UK wildlife.
